HAMBLE MOTORS VACANCIES - Trainee Parts Advisor.


Our busy Parts Department currently have a vacancy for a Trainee Parts Advisor. Ideally, we are looking for a young person with a genuine interest in motor vehicles or has just finished full-time education. You will be a part of a dedicated team where customer service and organisation is key. A Parts Advisor is a key role interacting with all areas of the business including sales, service, and customers.


Skills and personal qualities: Well organised - Computer literate - Ability to deal with different types of customers - Willingness to learn - Excellent telephone manner.


The role will involve:

  • advising customers what parts they might need for their vehicle

  • taking orders in person, over the phone or by email

  • checking availability of parts on computerised stock records

  • getting parts from the storeroom or warehouse or ordering them from suppliers

  • putting orders together

  • dealing with payments

  • raising invoices and issuing receipts

  • ordering supplies, putting stock away and updating records


A 5-Day week during training and then you will be required to work one in every three Saturday mornings.

HAMBLE MOTORS VACANCIES - Motor Vehicle Technician


We currently have a vacancy for a Qualified Vehicle Technician at our busy award winning Peugeot dealership in Southampton. This is an opportunity to become part of an exciting and ever expanding company. The role will report to the Service Manager and will be responsible for meeting both franchise and company standards in a service environment. You will receive first class training and development as well as an extremely competitive salary.


You must have a full and valid UK Driving Licence


Job Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types

  • Work to the highest level within scheduled times to meet company, franchise and manufacturers’ standards

  • Repair, test vehicles and diagnose faults

  • Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables whilst maintaining records and usage

  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area, organised and safe from hazards to ‘Health and Safety’

  • Advise and report on vehicle faults, servicing requirements including future servicing/repair requirement


Key Skills and Requirements:

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)

MOT tester qualifications
